Privacy.

We collect the least we can get away with, we tell you what it is, and we make it easy to get out. Below is the specific version.

Effective 20 July 2026 Version 1.0 Governing law England & Wales

Who this is about

Sampld Ltd. ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. We're a company registered in England and Wales. Contact us at hello@sampld.net, or for privacy-specific queries, privacy@sampld.net.

This policy covers sampld.net and its subdomains. It does not cover any Sampld product you become a customer of — that will have its own agreement when it launches.

What we collect, and why

Today, one thing: the waitlist form. When you submit it, we receive:

  • Your email address — so we can reach you when your cohort opens.
  • Your role (rights holder, producer, sync, AI platform, etc.) — so we route you into the right cohort.
  • Optionally, your name and a short note about what you'd do with the product. Both blank by default.

That's it. We don't ask for a phone number, an address, a company, or anything you didn't type into the form.

Legal basis (UK / EU GDPR)

Your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us — see Your rights below.

Cookies and analytics

The marketing site uses no third-party analytics cookies and no advertising trackers. If we add analytics later, it will be a first-party, cookieless product (e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible), and we'll update this policy before turning it on.

Your browser may set purely technical cookies required to serve the site (e.g. Cloudflare's edge cookies for security). Those don't identify you.

Where the data goes

Waitlist submissions are stored with the following processors:

  • Cloudflare — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and their global edge network. Personal data is processed under Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum.
  • An email inbox provider we use to read what you send us.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train machine-learning models — including our own future ones.

How long we keep it

Until we hear from you that we shouldn't, or until you've been on the waitlist for 24 months without our product being able to serve you — whichever is sooner. After that we delete the record.

Where we send it

Cloudflare and our email provider may process data in the UK, EU, or the United States, depending on where the closest edge or data centre is. When data leaves the UK / EU, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and (where applicable) the UK–US Data Bridge / EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Our processors' agreements are the source of truth for the exact transfer mechanism.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you can, at any time:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Delete it (right to erasure).
  • Withdraw consent — which we treat as a request to delete.
  • Object to any processing you disagree with.
  • Complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@sampld.net. We'll acknowledge within 5 business days and complete within 30.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. At rest it lives in the processors named above, under their security controls. We keep the access list to human waitlist data to the smallest number of people who need it — currently, the founders.

If you think you've found a security issue, please report it via /.well-known/security.txt.

Children

Sampld is not intended for people under 16. If you believe a child has submitted the form, email us and we'll delete the record.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the version and effective date at the top of this page, and email people on the waitlist before the change takes effect. Non-material changes (typo fixes, clarifications) may be published without notice.

A note: This policy is written to be truthful and specific to what Sampld actually does today. It is not legal advice. If your legal team wants any specific language, or you're a large customer with a required form, email privacy@sampld.net and we'll work it through.
